from thread to touch
Studio K moves slowly, with intention.
From the fabrics we choose to the way each piece is made, every step is considered with care for both people and the environment.
We stay close to the process, visiting our factory regularly, following each stage from dyeing and washing to sewing and finishing. Not from distance, but through presence and attention.
For us, sustainability is not a fixed idea, but an ongoing practice. A continuous movement toward doing things more thoughtfully, more responsibly, and in closer dialogue with nature.

ORGANIC AND BIODEGRADABLE FABRICS
All fabrics we use are Certified Organic according international standars, recycled or 100% biodegradable. We are constantly searching for new ways to minimize our footprint on earth.

OEKO-TEX® certified LOW IMPACT DYES
The low impact dyes we use are certified by OEKO-TEX® - an international trademark with uncompromising standards for product safety and sustainability. So you can rest assured that all Studio K garments are completely free of any harmful dying substances.
OEKO-TEX® Certified Low Impact Dyes are better for the environment compared to natural dyes and hand dying. The color last longer, have better viability and the process requires significantly less water, since they permanently bond with the fibers. Unlike natural dyes, low impact dyes are free from toxic chemicals and don’t require mordants or heavy metals, which are often used to fix natural dyes to fabric.

Biodegradable Packaging
We don't use single-use plastic in any part of our production chain. All of our parcels are delivered in green packaging, meaning they produce as little environmental waste as possible, the bags we use for online shipments are made from cassava and are 100% biodegradable.

ETHICAL PRODUCTION
Each piece is made in a woman-owned studio in Bali, where skilled artisans work in a safe and supportive space, earning fair wages for their craft.
