from fibre to finish
Our commitment to sustainability is central to who we are as a brand. We have carefully considered each part of our making process; from the materials used, to the method of manufacture which supports our local Balinese industry. We regularly visit our factory to witness the whole process from the dying, washing and finally the fabric being sewn into our garments. We only work with responsibly sourced fabrics. Our commitment to sustainability is a continuous development and we are always looking for new ways to better our products and our business as a whole. We are seriously dedicated to mindful and sustainable fashion and we strive to merge with nature as much as possible.
Each garment is inspired from the 60’s when the boundary between sportswear and fashion was faded.
FABRICS
All fabrics we use are organic, recycled or biodegradable + certified according to international standards to minimize our footprint on earth.
low impact dye
Low impact dyes bond permanently with the fibers, have better viability and require significantly less water than both natural dyes and hand dying.
ETHICAL Production
The factory where we produce our garments is a small woman-owned facility that is a proud member of the Fashion Revolution program.
PACKAGING
We don't use single-use plastic in any part of our production chain. All of our parcels are delivered in green packaging, meaning they produce as little environmental waste as possible, they are made from reusable or biodegradable materials.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to be an active change maker in the fashion industry by creating a symbiosis of the teachings of yoga & embodiment and meaningful, ethical, sustainable and wearable art. We blend fashion, functionality and love for our planet by offering organic yoga- and loungewear for conscious women who care about their imprint.
our story
Studio K was birthed from curiosity and passion. We began to design, sew and make patterns in our home with the intention to embody the change we want to see in the fashion industry - while creating timeless, comfortable, sensual and empowering yoga and everyday-wear. We studied Fashion Design and Pattern Making during our University days, but soon after left the industry as the Fashion world in its core did not chime with the values that consolidated increasingly within us over the years: to live in harmony with the needs of our planet.
